IBARMIA drives innovation with new R&D projects

IBARMIA continues to lead industrial innovation through its participation in various R&D projects funded by the Basque Government under the HAZITEK program. In this new phase, the company leads and collaborates in strategic initiatives aimed at developing new technologies for high-performance machining, automation, and advanced digitalization. The SKIVING project also receives support from the CDTI.
Ongoing R&D Projects
Among the projects shaping the future of the sector, IBARMIA is involved in:
CORTEX: Focused on improving precision in ultra near net shape critical components obtained through advanced processes, optimizing finishing methods.
CONFLES: Development of new manufacturing and automation technologies for a controlled, flexible, efficient, and sustainable machining process for high-performance materials.
ACCUBASK: Design of precision machines with new functionalities, promoting zero-defect manufacturing of large components in a digitalized environment.
UPSCALE: Research and development of technologies, processes, and simulation models for optimized integration of subcomponents in safer, circular, accessible, and lightweight vehicles.
PILGRIM: Implementation of an intelligent and interconnected system for optimizing physical load and industrial resource management.
GEOMAK: Development of a new generation of machine tools with geothermal temperature control systems, enhancing efficiency and sustainability.
PROVERSE: Creation of a process metaverse, exploring new technologies for the virtualization of workpieces and machining.
SKIVING: Innovation in gear manufacturing through skiving in machining centers, with additional support from the CDTI.
